Building a temporary space with permanent impact.

The Running Event stands as the industry's definitive gathering—where retailers, brands, and running culture converge to shape the future of the sport. For adidas in 2024, this represented more than a tradeshow appearance; it was an opportunity to redefine their presence in the running community and preview their FW25 collection to key wholesale and retail partners. Our challenge : design a tradeshow booth with a new brand look and feel, utilizing some existing parts while mapping out a content strategy to create a compelling brand experience for the event. Authentic brand experiences can't be easily templated or rushed. Our ongoing partnership with adidas is an example of the tactical advantage of brand-driven environment design—with a deep understanding of the brand's heritage, the requirements of custom fabrication and choreography of activities during the event, we used available resources efficiently to create a space that facilitated genuine connections between the adidas team and industry partners while showcasing products that embody the brand's innovation legacy.

Our design philosophy centered on intelligent adaptability—creating a visual identity robust enough to maintain brand integrity regardless of which products ultimately populated the displays. Drawing inspiration from Austin's warm, energetic character and acknowledging the increasingly diverse, female-forward audience of running, we developed a material palette that could flex without losing its core identity.
