Dress like a legend.
Around the globe, over 100 million people play Apex Legends—a battle royal game where if you survive long enough they call you a Legend. In the game, you can choose from a lineup of outlaws, soldiers, and misfits, each with their own set of skills—and style. Fusing the unique style of the characters into a line of products fans want to own was the ask. Doing it in a way that didn’t just copy game art and place it on a shirt was the challenge. In that, we went deep into the culture of the characters, and the players, to reimagine their expressive styles in a range of custom one-of-a-kind pieces of art. From line art to graffiti-inspired texture and pattern, the art honored the game and excited the community of Apex Legends. With licensing needs top of mind, we navigated challenges to deliver an asset library rich in aesthetics, but adaptable to flex for production constraints. The final collection not only highlighted the personality of the individual Legends but also took fans deeper into the Apex universe allowing them to fly their nerd flag in style.
